Happy Memorial Day!

First off, I want to congratulate my 2 favoritist people in the world on 33 years of marriage, my Mom and Dad!

This is their weekend and I say 'Cheers' to them! Hope you 2 had a wonderful weekend up visiting Gramma!

This is a time that we as Americans need to remember that we are celebrating those that put their lives on the line for our freedoms! You too get a big 'Cheers' from me! Thank you for your service for my everyday freedoms that sometimes may go as 'unnoticed!'

I spent the weekend away from my family and miss them dearly! I am writing this from New York where I am visiting my good friend Ram and his family! We had a great weekend here where we got to see Mr. Silverblood and Miss Chatterbox and also my bud Capt. Crash 31! It was an awesome weekend and I just feel such great joy that I get to spend that time with my buds! I don't get to do that often, and now living in Florida makes it that much harder to do, but I am so glad that I got the opportunity to make it up here!

We stayed up late and had great times! Starbucks at 11:00 at night, WOW what a rush! Created some cool things for a new site we're working on, hubba, hubba!!! Weeeeeee! And we also got to see Jupiter last night thru Cable Monkey's killer telescope! Man, do I have to get one of those! Just good times people!

Thanks for the great weekend everyone!

Hope to see you all again soon!

Tiffany, Brooke and Alexander, daddy's on his way home! See you soon!

I give to you.........THE SNARLER!!!

Becoming a parent has given me such great joys over the past 9 months.

Yes, I have had Brooke, since she was 4 years old, but this is the first time that I have had a baby around the house. I have nieces and nephews, but that doesn't count in this case.

The thing that I have found so amazing is Alex's uncanny ability to pick up on things. We have several fun little games lately. One being the 'ehhh' call back and forth. He keeps this going until you stop completely. Quite funny!

But my all-time new favorite stems from a little incident that we had awhile back during daddy-son time! Mom didn't catch on to this until one hysterical night. See he was taking his nightly bath, which is usually the time that we also feed him as well. Well, daddy decided to mess with him and feed him some obscure food that I picked out for him. He didn't care for it and gave us this face that you see here!

It has now become a nightly habit, and now with the camera back, it's his preferred picture taking face! Witness.......

What also makes this quite funny is not just the face, but rather the sounds that are created when doing so! I need to get a video over here to let you witness one of the funniest things I think you may have ever seen!

OK, I'll get over it!

I've been gettin a bit miffed by everything "Gene Simmons" lately and I just thought that he was really diluting and watering down my favorite band KISS.

But read this and see if you change your mind as I now have:

And an editorial note: Some of you get sick and tired of seeing GENE SIMMONS in front of every project. Not my problem. I like it. I like me. And, I am unabashed and unapologetic of being in the Gene Simmons Business. If there can be Geffen Records and Bloomberg TV and Walt Disney Pictures...there can be GENE SIMMONS EVERYTHING. Those guys did it right. And, I certainly intend to do the same.

Contact!

I had some time yesterday between some running around that Tiffany had and just being a lazy day that I sat thru a good portion of the movie 'Contact' again with Jodi Foster. I've never had a chance to sit completely thru this movie and wanted to catch it all. Of course I missed the ending, but thank goodness for digital video recorders! I'll catch the end tonight!

The reason for the mention is because of a lil program that I used to run on my computer for SETI. It was a little program that would run in the background and would basically analyize the data that those satellite dishes in the movies would pick up on. I started doing this back in '96 or so and just thought it would be cool to help contribute to science in some shape or form.

Now it's got some leg's under it and the data crunching has grown exponentially!

I'm mean, c'mon, how cool would it be to have your computer possibly analyze a piece of data that could be from a different world?? That is just way too cool! There are also some different studies that they have as well, I believe at one time there was a program to help decode DNA. Now that's pretty damn cool! Check out some of their other stuff at the SetiAtHome link.

If anyone is interested in learning more go to SetiAtHome for more details! I hope some of ya find it interesting!

Finally, an update!

OK, so it's a bit slow at work today for me, and I'm looking busy by, you guessed it, typing on my blog!!

2 more weeks and I get to take myself a restful weekend. I'm visiting some friends up in New York and just cannot wait to get away. Work has me burnt right now and I need to recharge the batteries a bit.

I spent the weekend with the wife for Mothers Day and we had a very nice, relaxing weekend. My wife is a simple individual. I don't mean this in a bad way, but she just plays the role of not wanting anything so well. It makes it hard for me because I have a hard time understanding if she 'really' doesnt want anything, or if she's just being coy. But I cooked her breakfast on Sunday and we just relaxed a bit. She did want me to try and fix our digital camera so that she could start keeping photos of Alex.

I broke the camera about 4 months ago inserting a flash card in to it. It bent the pins and became worthless. I disassembled the camera, but typical guy that I am, I never finished the project. And, of course, when I jump back in to the project, I have no clue where the screws and and everything came from. So here I am with a disassembled mess, and a bent pin in the flash slot!

After 15 minutes voila! I have the pin bent back, insert card, test with power and batteries and just like that were snapping photos again.

So I've updated my Flickr (click to view photos) account again! We'll be updating you with pictures on a regular basis again, so stay tuned.

Not much to say right now, gonna see how much work I can get done with my machine operator out of the shop, and not harrassing me on a daily basis! Should be fun!

Oh yeah, and I'm playing an assload of XBox Live again! Who wants a piece of me in some UNO?!!

Invasion of my privacy?? You bet your ass!!

Folks, we've reached a new low in this society! The text color choice is due to both anger and embarrassment!

Let me tell you a little embarrassing story! I'm not shy about this, but after today, you bet your ass I'm afraid of the world we live in. And I'm only embarrassed due to the fact that both parties have no idea how we were tied together in this instance.

See, I have this friend, for general purposes, let's call him Big Daddy Love Muffin! Well, I only know Big Daddy Love Muffin thru my beloved XBox and XBox Live. Now this is a great friend of mine and damn near a brother to me, along with a few other love muffins online this guy is top notch in my books!

Well I got home tonight and my lovely wife tells me that Big Daddy Love Muffin called and that it was important that I call him back ASAP! So I call immediately!! Now folks, this is where you might want to make sure you are sitting down, you are about to enter Scary's episode of the Twilight Zone!

So Big Daddy plays phone tag with me and we're giving our hello's and he proceeds to ask me if I have ever used his phone number or given it out to anyone ever. Well, duh! I wouldn't know Big Daddy Love Muffins number if I had a double barrel shot gun at my head and my life depended on it. I rely heavily on my phone book in my home phone. On top of that, I only know that it's #13 in the phone book. OK, so I at least know where it's located!!

Big Daddy Love Muffin proceeds to tell me a story of how he got home from work and there was a message on his phone for ME. What? Are you kidding me?? I'm in utter shock. So we sit and knock ideas around about what is going on, who this is, and why in the f'n world they would have Big Daddy's phone number, let alone be attached to me. People, what the frickin hell is going on here.

Now I'm seething with anger, near a meltdown stage, and hyper-ventalating!!! Profusely!!! Big Daddy gives me the number and I call this bitch right up!!! I may have made Satan blush with the vulgarity flying out of my mouth! It was an ugly sight. So here's where we step deeper in to weird.

The lady that is talking to me will not divuldge any information to me only that she's looking for an "insert my name here" but the funny thing is it's me with a different middle name, AND she gives me the last 4 digits of the social and their not mine. But she's looking for "insert name here" in Massillion, Ohio. Now I'm originally from Ohio, but not Massillion. Now I'm freaked out. I scream that she better lose Big Daddy's number and note the account that it's not me they are looking for.

People, I ask you, "what the f' is going on?" Is this where we are at as a society? I wouldn't ever have Big Daddy's number written down for any reason, nor would I write someone down as a reference without first verifying with them that it was OK to do so.

Now I have to deal with the embarrassment that it's caused me. Now Big Daddy was totally cool about it, but what the hell man?

Let's just say this is just the beginning! I have an attorney at my disposal at work and I'm gonna do some checkin! Hell it is the new millenium, maybe I'll hire a vulture to get to the bottom of this for me!! Stay tuned folks! This story's just starting!

By the way, hey Big Daddy, thanks for workin with me on it, and lookin out for me! Trust that we'll get to the bottom of this nightmare!

Review: Operation: Mindcrime II = Saaawwwweeettt!!

As some of you may or may not know I am a very huge fan of the band Queensryche. I've followed them for years and years and years. I caught em for the first time when they opened up for Kiss back in 1986 on the Animalize tour.

To me, these guys are innovators in their genre and were always taking chances. Operation: Mindcrime was all I listened to the year it came out. The story in it was riveting and THE BEST concept album I ever ran across. Mind you, these are my worthless opinions!

So when I heard that they were going to tackle Mindcrime II, i was a bit skeptical. First and foremost, the heart of the band, Chris De Garmo is no longer with them, and it's sad to say, but their music just hasn't been up to snuff since he left. Oh yeah, I still loved every album thus far, but it was missing that feeling the Chris brought to their song writing. So with my fingers crossed and holding my breath I waited patiently......

After scouring the internet this morning I was finally able to snag it off of Rhapsody for a cool 9.99$! Not bad! I started with Operation: Mindcrime to get me started. I wanted the big lead up and then I then was thrust in to a very hard rockin, spot on album, Mindcrime II!! 17 songs telling the story of Nikki who has been in prison for 18 years after his crimes committed in the first Mindcrime.

The album has an appearance from the legendary small man himself, Ronnie James Dio, who plays the role of Dr. X. His vocals go to work battling Geoff Taite on the track 'The Chase' and gave me goose bumps listening to it!

Do yourself a favor if your in to this kind of music, download it or go buy it immediately! It's a great album. Rhino Records is streaming the album in its entirety today. I'd encourage you to go give it a listen!

Rumor also has it that Queensryche will tour this summer and perform both Mindcrimes, in the entirety. I cannot wait to see this one pulled off!!! Count me in!

Catching up!

So of course, I said I would keep this updated, and I'm a slacker!

What else is new!

Well, actually a lot.

Work is really kicking in to high gear, and we are making tremendous strides. After some internal house cleaning the past few weeks, we've eliminated some bad seeds around here and things are looking up!

These days, it just seems that no matter what, your going to run in to jackasses, where ever you work. This place is no different. But in this case, a certain jackass helped a brother out! I've had the pleasure of picking up the pieces on 4 major projects here and my good friend and co-worker Gary smacked the hell out of the work, and delivered! Fortunately, due to the last disaster the guy dropped on us, the owners finally saw thru the guy and cut him loose! Sweet!! Sorry to gloat, but I just felt lately that I was breaking my back, having tremendous pressure and stress on me and no one else recognozing what was going on. Now it's time to get back to what I enjoy the most, working with customers!

It's paying big divends so far. A customer that came on board with us called my boss and thanked em for the tremendous efforts I gave on a project, beyond the scope of what we were contracted to do for them. I ended up saving a disaster from occuring. A few parts we were to manufacture weren't up to snuff and we caught a major snafu! I called the engineer, walked her thru it, and helped her on the design. Well, her boss from France was here that following Monday and was just beaming ear to ear that a manufacturer would take the time to check the part for 'manufacturability' and voila, another satisfied customer, not to mention a boss who was overly impressed!!

Home life is great! Tiffany and I are just doing awesome now that we are down here away from the cest pool that is Ohio. The move couldn't have been more needed by both of us. It's showing every day in both of our attitudes towards each other. It's almost like being married for the first time again! That rocks!!

Alex and Brooke are doing spectacular! Brooke's finally settling in to her newest school as of January, and has pumped those grades right up! I'm so happy to see her doing well again. With the moving and everything else the past year, she needed some stability and I think we've finally nailed that for her. She's gonna pass with flying colors and has bet me on gettin straight A's! Let's see ya do it kid!!!

Alex is growing like a weed.!! He's discovered his vocal cords and learned how to play mommy and daddy now. Lil bugger! But hey, we all did it as kids! We're very close to him crawling around now, and at almost 8 months its about time! We're kinda getting the feeling that he may be walking before he even crawls. He's got the army crawl down to a science, that and the roll technique, but just cant figure out the whole crawling deal. It's funny as hell to watch, but you can see him trying so hard to get it.

I miss posting here and having all my friends stop by and comment, so I am going to make more of an assertive effort to be on here more often.

Thanks for stopping by and reading folks!

Cell phones and holiday's!

Well, it has been way too long since I've posted here!!

I was having a lot of fun with it and work just got in the way of keeping it updated. I'll do better guys I swear!

It's been a busy start to the year and the days are flying by! I try to spend as much family time as I can now being that my days at work are becoming very long!

So I thought I'd get something up here so all of my fan's would know that I'm still around!

I had a subject matter to leave for discussion here!

Cell phones! I don't have one and I'm always asked why? So I thought I'd share with you some observations of cell phones that I couldn't agree more with! Please feel free to stop back and discuss DAVE!!!

The kid from Brooklyn:

Where are you?

and

Where are you Part Deux!

And another favorite:

Cell phones!

And for my other reader, Keg, happy holidays mang! Somewhere in this world a holiday is being celebrated! And for that I say to you 'cheers'!!! Have a drink on me!

2006! Happy New Years everyone!

Well, for those of you that stop by my little treasure spot on the internet, Happy New Years!

It's been a wild 2005 and other than settling down and moving here to Florida, the only real thing I'm most excited about was my lil Alex being born! He's changed my world and I am so happy and proud to finally have my first child. Brooke has and will always be my first, but there's something very different about conceiving your own! It changes you, turns you in to a different person! And for that I am very grateful!

The holiday's are finally over, thank heavens! And Tiffany and the kids will be home from a 2 week vacation on Wednesday. I can't wait to get them home, I've missed them tons! One things for sure, I caught up on a lot of sleep the past 2 weeks!!!

Football season was ugly. After going to the Super Bowl last year, the Eagles were plagued with the T.O. disease and injury bugs, and are going to watch the play-offs and the Super Bowl from their couches this year. The Indians blew it.........AGAIN! But the Cav's look very promising! At 21 Lebron's doing magical things. I think this might be Clevelands first championship in forever very soon!! Fantasy sports wise was just horrible this year for me. Finished middle of the pack in all of my leagues football and baseball. Nothing like giving away money, ya know?? But congrat's to my good buddy Dylan who finally won one after so many years in it with us! After 5 years ya finally beat big daddy in a game! Congrats!

I finally had a chance, yesterday, to catch up with some good friends and we spent the day gaming on our new 360's! I've had the thing since the end of November and just now got in some good quality time online with my buds! What a blast we had! Can't wait to start doing this every Wednesday night again! My XBox Live Friends family has become a special group of friends to me, and it's nice to see that we are gonna kick it strong in to 2006!! Sunday I spent gaming with my buddy Dagon Fel from Band of Gamers! I feel so bad I hadn't gamed with him and the rest of the Band of Gamers in so long, that it was nice to pull out the old XBox and just have a great time gaming in Battlefield 2 for several hours. Dex Luther and Dagon's brother also got in to the action and we had a great time, after I spent several minutes muting all the other morons!!

So we'll keep it short, but 2006 I plan on keeping this lil ship sailing along and bringing ya more of my life and the things I find the need to spew out about!

No New Years resolutions for me, hell does anyone ever really follow thru with them??

OK, I'll give ya 2:

1. To bring the best lifestyle and all that matters to my family for this year. Make a happy home and make my wife smile at least once a day!

and 2. Make sure that I apply myself more and more each day at my job and make sure that I learn something new everyday! Cause 'God dammit Aaron, if ya didn't learn anything today, you just wasted my money!!' Famous quote from my boss!!

Hope your 2006 is as good as I'm going to make mine!

Lost but found!

Well, I've been away for some time and I really wanted to get back to updating this, so I thought I'd drop a quick post to let everyone know that I'll be back to updating this on a more frequent basis.

It's been a busy November and December for me so far and no time for rest and relaxation really.

The kid that helped me get down here to Structure was finally let go a few days before Thanksgiving. And it couldn't have come at a better time! Things were really starting to get stressful with him around and I wasn't learning much. Just kinda sittin over in my corner trying to get thru days. Now that he's gone, my days are flying now that I have so much work. I'm booked solid thru February right now.

Alex and family are doing great. The poor boy is going thru the teething stage (yes, at 4 months! Can you believe it?) and is just miserable. He hasn't figured out the whole "Your supposed to nap during the day" scenario either. You'd think that it would make him that much more tired at the end of the day, but he's a fighter and its taking him damn near an hour to lay him down to sleep for the night. After a few successful weeks of him sleeping thru the night, Tiffany's back to gettin up between 2-4am for a bottle. Unfortunately for Tiffany, he thinks it's play time!

Christmas is right around the corner now, just 5 days away, and I won't get to spend my first Christmas with Alex. Due to travel restrictions, children under the age of 15 cannot travel alone, so Tiffany is going to drive Brooke home for Christmas. I'm really disappointed, but I'm trying to be mature about it and not be so selfish. There will be plenty more, plus next year will be the first one where he'll really get to enjoy it!

Well, I was one of the lucky ones to score an XBox 360 upon release back in November. I didn't get the one I wanted and spent the next 2 days scouring Naples in search of all the needed accessories. The night before Thanksgiving I got it all set up and found out that the DVD drive was shot. Funny, but the same thing happened to me when I bought the first system. Microsoft was great in responding, sending me a new unit out about a week later. I haven't had all the time I'd like to have to play the system, but I'm having fun when I can with it. Nice to get done with a busy day and just lose myself in some racing or shooting at friends! Fun stuff!

In the meantime, I hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday and is very safe!

I've got a few more pictures to post up and I'll be doing that soon. Plus I've just about got my digital camera fixed! Damn them flash cards and their mating pins! Grrrrr!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's everyone!

Jenny's married!

So my sister finally had her Day!

Jenny and Shannon married this past Saturday at 2pm at St. Pauls Church in Akron, Ohio.

We had some great family travel in for the event and it was so awesome to see my mom's sisters and her brother make the visit. It was a beautiful day and we had some great pictures taken from a fabulous photographer! Diane did a great job! I know it!

I have to comment though........The photo taking session would have been easier if you were herding cattle. It was damn near impossible for everyone to make themselves available during the day and I just felt bad for Jenny. I'm sure there were other photos they would have wanted to take, but like I said, everytime we turned around someone was not there to take the photos.

A few funny highlights from the day's events included my father getting a catholic priest to curse during the ceremony. Let me explain.........There we're several children at the event, and their parent's we're in the ceremony, thus hard to handle them while your in the event. So my dad has to walk Gavin, Jenny and Shannon's son around. Well, he picks a time right during the event to do so. The priest and Shannon share a glance, Shannon shrugs his shoulder, and with that the priest gets up, walks over to my brother and states "Will you please go get your father and tell him to get his ASS in the pew for his daughters wedding........" Now mind you funny as it sounds, it gets better! He does this with the microphone turned on and about 40-60 people there to hear him. I think the organist skipped a note!

And can't go without mentioning Neal. Neal was our limo driver. And quite the cool cat! He was great. When we went down to the metro parks for pictures, he was gracious and helped keep an eye on the wandering kids while we took some awesome photos! Kudo's to Neal! Look em up if your in Akron, it's called Budget Limo! Great, classy place!

We then headed off to Guy's restaurant for the reception. Not before spending the last hour hammering down a few drink's we all went and picked up, in our tux's and the limo, in the old Firestone Park area! We were definitely primed for the evenings events!

The food was great, but I just wished more people had showed up to show support for my sister! It sucks when someone spends that type of money and sends out the invitations just to have them not show. Again, it was a great time, we made sure of it!

The night ended for me around 12:30 after I called Tiffany (who had left and just walked in to her house) asking her where she was and why she wasn't back yet! Go me!!! Yes people, I was a bit blitzed! Tiffany found me about 1:30 passed out on Jenny's couch, with my hand up to my face (ala a typical pose of my son) and my son's blanket nestled up to me and Jenny passed out with her head on my shoulder! Gotta love it!!!

So congrats Jenny and Shannon! I wish you both the best of luck and give you my love! Love you sister!!

An update on Wilma

Well, as most of our friends and family know, we made it out of Naples safe and sound on Friday.

Tiffs family, Sandy and Tom were kind enough to open their home to us, and we couldn't be more greatful! It's so awesome when you have someone like that you can turn to and they are just so wonderful in helping you out. We can't thank them enough.

Wilma's now passed and left her destruction all across southern Florida. She hit about 22 miles south of where we live and really walloped us. I gave a call to our secretary on Monday to see if I could get a damage assessment. It took her til mid-afternoon to get near a tower that she could return my calls, and to hear the distress in her voice I knew it really punched Naples a good one. To hear the damage is one thing, we just have to wait a few days to see for ourselves. There is no power or water and with Alex and Brooke we just can't take the chance of going down there without those necessities.

I have to say it again though, we may have lost things like couchs, TV's, and the likes, but we as a family are together and the rest can be replaced. We move in to our new place on the 1st of November and it is fully furnished. Looks like the big guy was lookin out for us before Wilma even hit!! We'll keep our heads up and move foreward. Thats what we Spicers do!

I want to thank all of you for your love and support throughout this whole ordeal. And as has been mentioned several times to us, this looks to be a cycle of storms that will be working the Gulf for the next 20-25 years. Buckle up! We've now been initiated! True Floridians now!

Your kidding me, right??

OK folks! I've now officially been here 60 days and I am getting ready to witness hurricane #3. And no, these haven't just been little ones to pass us by. We're talking 3 of the worst hurricanes to hit land in recorded history.

Booked a hotel room up in Jacksonville and we're heading out probably Friday afternoon. Not gonna take the chance.

LOL, we knew there was the risk of them, but damn, 3 in 60 days?? C'mon, is that a sign??

UPDATE: Here is the latest tracking of the storm from NOAA, and they would be the ones to know!

Alexander, moving and a wedding!

So the weekend brought an end to the visit from the mother-in-law! Great visit. I'm glad she was able to make it down here. It had been 6 weeks since we had seen a familiar face and it was a great time.

Now it's time to start shedding some pounds I think, lol. I got down here and I, due to my stress-diet, was down to about 170. I haven't seen days like that since high school But after moving here and no more stress on hand, I've jumped back up to the 182 mark. I'm here and don't want to get much more than that, so I think a work out regiment is in order soon. I'm swimming once a day, because I can, for at least an hour at a time. Makes me feel great and refreshed.

As has become a staple now, this weekend, again, I spent with Alex. Saturdays have turned in to daddy/son day for us, and I enjoy every second of it. At 8 weeks old this kid is just amazing me more and more every day. He's just amazed anymore by the sound of your voice or any noise you an make and will just coo and try and reproduce your sounds as long as you can sit there and listen to it. He has really brought new life in to me! I've started to click at him and he just stares at you in awe. Funniest thing. And the past few nights we've noticed that he's trying to imitate it as well. I'm gonna take a video of it, cause no one would believe this unless I had proof, lol!!

The latest craze for Alex is water. Doesn't matter, pool, sink, or out at a restaurant, he get's super excited by the sound of it!!! He constantly thinks its bath time now! But it's the funniest thing you've ever seen once he's in it. Nightly baths have become my latest task with him. Why? Cause he has so much fun with dad!!! He averages about 1/2-45 minutes per bath now. Seems a bit long, but the terror this kid shows if you remove him before that, and you'd be leaving him in there as well. But that time spent is just so much fun. So much so that the other night I had to bring the laptop and camera out so my parents could see this for themselves. He sits there and when you tell him to kick his feet, he just starts flailing away, spashing water everywhere! Ya fill the tub back up, and rinse, repeat cycle!! I could literally sit there for hours watching his enjoyment, but he wrinkles up like a prune soon after the 30-45 minute mark. I highly recommend ear plugs for the end of bath time. It gets really loud from his screaming! He also is not far from swimming, I'm sure of it. We take him out to the pool and swim with em at least once a day as well. Once we get him in the water, he arches his back, and from there all you have to do is support his little head! Away we go folks! The kids kickin his feet, flailing his arms, and just having the time of his life!! To some, it may not seem like much, but to me, it's the coolest thing in the world!

LOL, so I spent all that time talkin about Alex, and still have 2 more subjects.

2. The M.O.V.E! We were just getting settled in to our place (company provided for the rest of the year) when I was given a number to follow up with for a new place of permanent residence. The company says if we like it then they'll pick up the rent on it for the rest of the year as well. It's a great place too! We were blown away by it. It's about 2400 sq. feet, a condo, and fully furnished. But for 1750$/mo. it's a steal down here. It's located in a very nice gated community and has all the amnemities that you could possibly require. Luckily, it has a 2 1/2 car garage so we can store our stuff in there and avoid paying for a storage rental. So, hopefully, this will work itself out in the next week or so.

It's crazy, Alex was born the 16th of August, we move down here 2 weeks later to a furnished place, turn around 2 weeks later and move in to our newest abode, and now 2 weeks later, we may have to repack our stuff up, yet again, and move AGAIN! I'm seeing a pattern here..........

3. My beautiful sister Jennifer is finally taking the plunge! After being with Shannon now, for FOREVER, the 2 are gonna finally exchange vows on the 5th of November. I am so super excited for her. Out of all of us kids, she's the first to have the full blown deal happen. She has 175 invites out and I'm nervous for her. I know it will be great, but she's so worried about having a good turn out. I just want her to know that it's gonna be a great day, no matter who shows up!! With that said, we're planning our first trip back home since the move! I'm only looking forward to it since its her wedding. I have become a hater of the cold!!! My luck I'll get snowed in while were there!!!

Thats all for now. I've been slow with my updates, but its been hectic. Since my last post, the Tribe never made the playoffs, I'm working more, and Gene Simmons is selling something else branded KISS.

I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball!!!

Rock Bottom indeed!!

Rock bottom my friends! That's where my beloved band is heading! No true'er a song was penned by this band that they will have to stand by!

Yes, I am a member of the KISS Army! Full fledged 4 Star General my friends! Ihave over $30,000, yes I said $30,000, worth of their merchandise.

I've been collecting everything with the logo on it since I was a child. I would be a much richer man if I hadn't found fireworks when I was a kid and used them against my Star Wars action figures. But today I have to admit we have found a new low........

Now, I'm not as big a complainer about Tommy and Eric replacing and wearing the Ace or Peters makeup. KISS has become memorable for the 4 original members. Let's face it drugs have been hard on Ace and Peter and if the replacements can carry on the tradition, then so be it. However, with that said KISS IS Gene and Paul. Without either of those 2 it's just not KISS. With that said, I hate to post it, but from Blabbermouth we have the following:

KISS To Continue Touring Without Any Original Members? - Sep. 26, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: Is an all-new KISS on the horizon, one that
doesn't have any original members? It's possible, according to the band's
manager. According to the New York Times, KISS manager Doc McGhee "has been
toying with the idea of recruiting an entire band to...don the band's famous
makeup." McGhee said, "KISS is more like Doritos or Pepsi, as far as a brand
name is concerned. They're more characters than the individual person. I think
(new members) have a legitimate chance to carry the franchise." KISS
singer-bassist Gene Simmons doesn't necessarily disagree with that idea. He told
Launch that the concept of original members isn't widely held by fans, and it
isn't really accurate anyway. "There's no question that there's a core of fans —
five-10 percent, my sense is — who believe in original members," he said. "And
yet, when you look at original members, THE BEATLES are not original members —
Ringo is not an original member; the STONES — barely. You know, they've had so
many members come and go, but it's the STONES; and AC/DC's aren't original
members; and VAN HALEN; and JOURNEY...you go down the list of every — almost every band you can think of."

Can you believe that?? A touring circus sideshow! Yeah, we've already seen this, their called TRIBUTE BANDS!! Next were gonna hear that this is strictly a Vegas show.........Good gawd!

A stressful week for Indians fans!

Man! What can I say? This has been a stressful end of the season for us Indians fans!

The team has just been playing tremendous baseball and I hope the gas tanks not running low! They've played their hearts out and to come back from 15 games down as of August 1st and to be within reach by 1 1/2 games just last week, and to now slip back to 3 games! C'mon guys, its the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, its not a playoff contending team!!

So here we are, one more with Tampa Bay and then the showdown of show downs! The way its looking right now, the Tribe has to win tonight and we need help from Detroit, yes I said Detroit! They have to beat the Sox again. We don't have much to worry about with the Red Sox and Yankess, their gonna blugeon each other this weekend and someones comin' out of the Bronx with a black eye!

Baseball at its finest folks! And I get to enjoy the whole thing in HDTV starting tonight!

C'mon Tribe! Its the season you promised us a return to the playoffs! Make it so!

The spending season's upon us.............gamer junkies!!

Yep, it's that time of the year again for all of us gamer junkies!

The 360 is 54 days away and XBox is making it that much harder to save for it with some killer games lined up over the next month and a half.

I got crazy last week and picked up 2 games out of peer pressure! I haven't had the chance to play much with the move and with Alex being born, but hey, that's a good excuse if you ask me! It was nice to sit down to a game after all the work and stuff I've been up to, just so I could space out for a few hours. I still haven't found myself sitting in front of the TV for hours like I used to, and that's a good thing.

So I'm trying to limit my spendatures for the next month and a half and calling my new console purchase my 'birthday gift'!! Now we just need to know what games are releasing with it and I can start planning the right way!

So I've picked up X-Men 2 Legends: The rise of the Apocalypse and Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes. Yes, you read that right X-Men 2! I couldn't believe I'd even play it but with all my buds over at XBoxLiveFriends ranting and raving about it, I just had to see what it was all about. I have to admit, I haven't even opened the other game that's how much fun X-Men was. Just a totally different pace of game for me and a nice added change. I can't even recount the last time I played a single player game. Just good fun here!

So this week it looks like FarCry: Instincts and Heroes of the Pacific! FarCry for all the XBLF boys who are having fun with their map editors and finding ways to stick Davidson to a tree, and Heroes of the Pacific becasue I'm a flying game junkie and I haven't had one game to fill that void in my life! It's finally here. Hey, it's World War 2 planes, but I'll take it. World Air Force is gonna make its way to the 360 and that's when my life will be over!

Other than that I think there might be 2-3 more games I'll end up scoring before the 360 launches. My hopes are that all of these games I've been buying will still be able to be played on the 360 at launch time. Theres a whole issue with backwards compatability and it is not clearly defined yet, even with 54 days left til launch. Next week is the last major event for Microsoft before launch so hopefully all of our questions will have answers. Major and the boys have been so mum about stuff that it's almost Area 51ish in feeling!

So the end of November, the 22nd to be exact is the big launch day. I can't get in on a pre-order anywhere now that I've pulled mine right before I left Ohio, instead of just transferring it. So I'm gonna have to take a chance with just walking in and getting one at Best Buy or something. We'll see.

All I know is that it's gonna be a very expensive month! Stay tuned to watch me blow my cash!

Todays lunch rocked!!

It's not often that I get to go out for a lunch like I did today.

Nothing against Tiffany, but she is more of a meat and potatoes kind of person. I like to experiment and try new things.

Well, today, the kid (yeah, the one that may be leaving us) asked me to go to lunch today. Hell, it was sushi, how often do I get to do that? Count me in!

So we head over here and we're the only 2 clowns in there at 11:30 in the morning. Start off with a nice Grey Goose and cranberry! Ahhh, lunch the right way. The cute waitress talked us in to some appetizers. I had raw squid. Now, you may think, "what the hell are you thinking??", and trust me, I asked myself the same question when I agreed to give it a try, but WOW!! I was blown away at how frickin good this was!

For the main course I went with the Volcano. Now this dish had 8 rice and crab meat rolls with the wraps around them and THEN it was topped with a smelt roe (some sort of a fish I'm told), avacadoe and cream cheese mixed together and then fried. I took that and dipped it in some low fat soy sauce, and mmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmmm! What a meal!

Loved every moment of it. Now I can go home tonight and make Tiffany and Brooke gag as I tell em what we ate for lunch! Ahhhh, my favorite part!
